COLUMBIA, Mo. — Ty’Ron Hopper clearly was frustrated. The senior linebacker was working with Missouri football’s kickoff unit during a preseason practice and had been flagged for a penalty for getting an illegal head start down the field.
He’s self-critical like this in times when he’s made a preventable mistake.
“Nobody’s harder on me than me,” Hopper said.
He decided to return for another year with the Tigers, making him part of a productive, experienced defense with high expectations in 2023. His second year at Missouri will be one of fine-tuning after transferring in from Florida ahead of last season.
