OXFORD, Miss. • For weeks Missouri basketball coach Cuonzo Martin has said he likes his team’s chances against anyone in the country if two things go right:
Mizzou was a big fat 0 for two Saturday afternoon and had it not been for Jordan Geist splaying his guts on the floor at The Pavilion, the Rebels would have trampled the Tigers unlike any opponent this season. Instead, Martin’s team sparked some suspense late and went down swinging 75-65.
“Travels here, offensive fouls here,” said Martin, who’s seen this team turn the ball over 20 times in five games this season (25 Saturday), all losses.
