COLUMBIA, MO. • Back in front of a home crowd for the first time in three weeks, the Missouri Tigers reminded their fans Tuesday they could be in for a long season of sometimes unwatchable basketball. Those moments came in spurts against visiting Temple and put the Tigers in a hole too deep to escape in a 79-77 loss.
Again, it was turnovers that tarnished a performance that was otherwise good enough to win. Mizzou shot a season-best 52 percent from the field, made a season-high 11 3-pointers and finished with 13 more rebounds than the Owls.
