Tulsa QB follows dad's path to Mizzou

COLUMBIA, MO. • Almost 30 years later, the Woody Widenhofer era of Missouri football is starting to pay off for the Tigers.

High school quarterback Micah Wilson, whose father, Curtis Wilson, started at center for the Tigers under Widenhofer, gave the Tigers an oral commitment Thursday, the second legacy from Woody’s Wagon to come to Mizzou to play quarterback in as many years. Curtis Wilson played on the same Mizzou offensive line as Andy Lock, father of current MU quarterback Drew Lock, who signed with the Tigers last year.

Micah Wilson, one of the most prolific high school quarterbacks in Oklahoma, made an oral commitment to Boise State in April, but that changed this week when his favorite school increased interest.
