Missouri had a chance to bank a precious Southeastern Conference road victory Tuesday night at Texas, but the Tigers let it get away.

They played tough defense down in Austin to give themselves every opportunity to defeat the Longhorns, who were 1-4 in SEC play.

But Missouri was unable to force a quicker tempo and the Tigers’ dribble-driven offense bogged down. The Longhorns hounded them past the 3-point line and denied their drives while winning 61-53.
