Tigers optimistic about returning personnel

COLUMBIA, Mo. • It’s no secret Missouri has some mysteries to solve at wide receiver and along the defensive line during the next three weeks of preseason camp. But the two-time SEC East Division champions balance those questions with surpluses of depth and talent elsewhere. At least that was the message Mizzou players shared after Thursday’s practice on the Kadlec Athletic Fields, the first of camp.

For the offense, a group that returns just three backup wide receivers from last year’s rotation, there’s twice as many offensive linemen with college starting experience.

“Instead of having a bunch of all-star wideouts, we have what Evan (Boehm) and I like to think are a bunch of all-star offensive linemen,” senior left tackle Connor McGovern said.
