Tigers kick off fall ball with big win over MO State, 11-3

Fall is in the air. At least it felt like it on Friday night at Mizzou Softball Stadium, where the Missouri Tigers kicked off their fall season with a trouncing of in-state foe, Missouri State, 11-2. Or at least when I left in the bottom of the 8th, hungry and freezing, it was 11-2. After some research, I found out the final score was actually 11-3 in 10 (they play 10 innings in fall ball, apparently).

Regardless, it was a great night to see these new-look Tigers, who for the first time in what feels like forever, are without the immense offensive talents of SS Jenna Laird, OF Alex Honnold and 2B Maddie Gallagher, or the pitching stylings of ace Laurin Krings.
