COLUMBIA, MO. • One of these years Cuonzo Martin might have his most talented and decorated player available for a full season at Missouri. Just like his debut year at Mizzou, Martin had to improvise this past season and construct a rotation on the fly to overcome a serious injury. This time around, he didn’t have the puzzle pieces to make it work.
Mizzou’s season didn’t officially end Oct. 21 when Jontay Porter suffered a season-ending knee injury, but the Tigers struggled to reproduce the sophomore’s many talents from a roster split between Kim Anderson era holdovers and Martin’s newcomers.
