ORLANDO, FLA. Mixing a flurry of 3-pointers and turnovers against one of the game’s best defensive teams, Missouri nearly extinguished one of its many longstanding streaks.

The Tigers were on the cusp of beating a nationally ranked team for the first time in four years when Sunday turned to Monday but blew a 16-point lead over No. 23 West Virginia in the Advocare Invitational championship game and suffered a crushing 83-79 loss.
