Mizzou Wrestling had some missed opportunities but also pulled off a few impressive upsets during the first session of the Big 12 Championships Saturday, placing three wrestlers in the semifinals. All 10 of the Tigers’ wrestlers are still alive, but seven face possible elimination later tonight in the second consolation round.
125lbs: Gage Walker
Walker began his day with a match against Oklahoma State’s Troy Spratley, who beat him in a 10-1 major decision during the regular season. Their rematch didn’t go much better, as Spratley took a 6-1 advantage after the first period and won the match 9-2.
