Alabama's Robert Howard won both the 50 and 100 freestyles at the Georgia Tech Invitational this past weekend. His winning time in the 100 freestyle, a 41.94, makes him the first swimmer in the country under 42 seconds this season. Howard also recorded NCAA B-cut times in the 50 free (19.23) and the 200 free (1:33.60).
Missouri's Nick Alexander won three events with NCAA B-cut times at last week's Mizzou Invite. He posted the nation's fastest time in the 200 back (1:39.98) for the win and marked the first time he ever went under 1:40 in the event.
