COLUMBIA, MO. • Whatever unfolds when No. 3 Kentucky visits Mizzou Arena on Tuesday, Cuonzo Martin knows his Tigers won’t have a chance against the hottest team in the Southeastern Conference without a competent night in the lane and on the glass.
As usual, UK’s John Calipari has one of the nation’s elite rebounding teams. His nine-man rotation includes four forwards 6-8 or taller, led by a surging candidate for SEC player of the year, sophomore P.J. Washington.
Mizzou (12-12, 3-9 SEC) usually holds its own on the boards — the Tigers have outrebounded seven of 12 SEC opponents — but Tuesday’s game is a different kind of challenge.
