COLUMBIA, MO. • University of Missouri chancellor Hank Foley announced the members of the search committee that will help hire Mizzou’s next athletics director — and conspicuously absent from the list is former basketball All-American Jon Sundvold.
Newly appointed to the university system’s board of curators, Sundvold had been discussed as a member of the search committee earlier this week. Sundvold, 55, is expected to assist the search process from outside Foley’s committee, but by not joining the committee in an official capacity he’s freed up to become a candidate for the AD job, a source confirmed.
