In an offseason full of change with plenty of newcomers grabbing attention, Mizzou’s special teams units have been mostly out of the limelight.
That changed on a beautiful Tuesday morning in Columbia as the Tigers’ punters and returners got in plenty of work at the beginning of practice.
One of the players receiving plenty of early reps was Stanford transfer Connor Weselman, who will be asked to fill the starting punter role this season after Luke Bauer’s departure.
He did not record a punt for the Cardinal in 2024, serving as the team’s main holder, but punted in eight games during the 2023 season with an average of 42.
