I ran a query in Stathead.com to see how many times an AP ranked team lost on their home floor by 25 points or more. I was just curious to see how many times something like that had happened. Stathead goes back to the late 1930s, and the results said it’s happened 32 times. Narrowing down to the margin of the Mizzou game (27 points) Stathead produced 24 results of teams losing by 27 points or more. And just 19 times has an AP ranked team lost at home by more than the margin on Saturday.
