The No. 6 seeded Missouri Tigers (22-11, 10-8 Southeastern) took on the No. 11 Drake Bulldogs (30-3, 17-3 Missouri Valley) in Wichita for their Round of 64 matchup in the NCAA Tournament. In a heated defensive affair, the Bulldogs stayed true to their game and upset the Tigers 67-57.

The win was Drake’s first round of 64 win since 1971.

Bennett Stirtz, the Bulldogs’ leading scorer by almost 10 points per game, was as advertised. Stirtz accounted for 14 of the Bulldogs first 22 points, and finished the night with 21 points off of 8-of-11 shooting.

Drake’s calling card was having the top scoring defense in the country allowing 58.
