COLUMBIA, MO. • Missouri’s football roster has undergone some more offseason turnover heading into spring practices, including the loss of two St. Louis area players. Cornerback Jerod Alton and wide receiver Ray Wingo are no longer with the team, MU spokesman Chad Moller confirmed Tuesday.
Alton, a 2016 addition from Kirkwood, decided to transfer before the Texas Bowl, while Wingo, a 2014 signee from SLUH, is leaving the team for undisclosed personal reasons. Outside linebacker T.J. Warren is also leaving the team, Moller confirmed.
After redshirting his freshman year, Alton worked himself into the cornerback rotation last fall and had nine tackles in 11 games.
