NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Missing two starters for most of the last month, Cuonzo Martin’s Missouri basketball team learned to reinvent itself with a new rotation headlined by backups now in starring roles.
Along the way, the Tigers also started winning.
Now comes the challenge. Those injured starters are healthy enough to rejoin a lineup that’s learned to function without them. The latest evolution of Martin’s lineup passed its first test Wednesday.
With their roster replenished the Tigers earned their first conference road win of the season, turning a second-half spurt into a 61-52 victory at Vanderbilt’s Memorial Gymnasium.
