Showtime in the Show-Me State: SEC brings star power to St. Louis

No matter who lugs home the Southeastern Conference championship trophy from Scottrade Center on Sunday, Commissioner Greg Sankey figures to leave St. Louis a happy man, steward of a league with the most NCAA Tournament teams in its history. But before the NCAA brackets are unveiled Sunday, the SEC will put its rebooted star power on display for five days, starting Wednesday and lasting through Sunday’s championship game.

The Big 12 might be the nation’s highest rated conference by the metrics analysts, and the ACC remains a bastion of tradition and glamour, but when it comes to pure entertainment, colorful characters and unpredictability from tip-off to final buzzer, it’s hard to beat the SEC in 2018.
