The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced today the All-Region nominees for the 2016 WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America Team. The selection committee will select the 10-member Coaches' All-America Team from the 52 candidates.
The Southeastern Conference had seven of the eight members of the All-Region 2 Team. The SEC's seven players on the All-Region team are Makayla Epps (Kentucky), Jordan Frericks (Missouri), Victoria Vivians (Mississippi State), Courtney Walker (Texas A&M), and Alaina Coates, Tiffany Mitchell and A'ja Wilson (South Carolina).
Epps has a lengthy list of honors this season, including becoming the fourth player in program history to earn multiple SEC All-Tournament Team honors and becoming only the third player in the Matthew Mitchell era to be named first-team All-SEC multiple seasons.
