Larissa Anderson had a simple message after Missouri softball closed out its regular season with a sweep of South Carolina on Sunday.
“It’s just us,” the Tigers softball coach posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The three-word, nine-letter phrase, although brief in length, may appear insignificant in the moment. In the grander scheme, however, the message represents a rallying cry for a Missouri program that has faced skepticism all season long.
Tabbed to finish 11th in the Southeastern Conference preseason coaches’ poll, the Tigers defied those odds with their second-highest conference finish since 2015, including their first top-five conference finish since 2021.
