Reports: OU transfer Alex Ross headed to Mizzou

COLUMBIA, MO. • The Missouri backfield and return game appears to have landed an instant impact player in Oklahoma graduate transfer Alex Ross, who will transfer to Mizzou after signing a financial aid agreement, PowerMizzou.com and KOMU reported Sunday.

Ross was in Columbia on an official recruiting visit May 6 and had dinner in town with Mizzou coaches Josh Heupel, Cornell Ford and Glen Elarbee. Ross, a 6-1, 227-pound back, announced earlier this month he would not return to Oklahoma for his final year of eligibility. He graduated from the Big 12 school this weekend, meaning he'll be eligible to play immediately this fall at Mizzou.
