Two weeks ago, the Missouri Tigers traveled to Oxford, Mississippi, and a wrench was thrown in their season by the Ole Miss Rebels. On Tuesday night, history repeated itself.
Neither team looked very polished, and no individual players stood out, but in a game where both teams shot under 40%, the Rebels stifling zone defense ended up being the difference.
While the game ended up being a 60-53 Rebel victory, it wasn’t always that low scoring. Both teams got off to a hot start, and at the under-16 timeout, the scoreboard read 11-10 in favor of Ole Miss.
