Missouri freshman forward Michael Porter Jr. ended his silence Saturday and did an in-game interview with ESPN2 broadcasters Jordan Bernfield and Tom Crean during the Braggin' Rights telecast. Crean is the former Indiana coach who recruited Porter out of high school.
Porter, recovering from back surgery performed last month, hasn’t been made available to local reporters since Mizzou’s Oct. 22 exhibition game against Kansas. Reporters requested to interview Porter after Saturday's game but, again, he was not made available by Mizzou.
“I'm feeling great. Rehab is going real well,” Porter said during the broadcast. “I'm getting stronger every day.
