Oxford has been Mizzou's house of horrors

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Here’s a big reason why Saturday’s meltdown against Texas A&M was so costly for the Missouri basketball team: The Tigers have been barely functional away from Mizzou Arena this season but play three of their next four games on the road, starting with Tuesday’s visit to Mississippi, a place where the Tigers have won just once since joining the Southeastern Conference.

Hurtling closer to a dreaded bottom-four seed in March’s SEC tournament, the Tigers (7-9, 1-3 SEC) were in position to capture a quality home victory Saturday until turnovers and defensive breakdowns spoiled their chances in the 67-64 loss to the Aggies.
