COLUMBIA, MO. • Missouri’s losing streak reached 10 games with Saturday’s 75-71 loss to Ole Miss.
But at least the Tigers provided some drama.
Cullen VanLeer had a chance for a four-point play when he sank a 3-pointer with 6.7 seconds left and drew a foul from Ole Miss’ Cullen Neal. VanLeer missed the free throw and the Tigers immediately fouled Justas Furmanavicious with 5.4 seconds left. The Lithuanian forward knocked down both foul shots to preserve the win. Jordan Geist’s floater missed at the buzzer.
The Tigers dropped to 5-13 overall and 0-6 in the Southeastern Conference.
