COLUMBIA, MO. • Missouri had just wrapped up an otherwise sobering 2016 season with a comeback victory over Arkansas when some visiting Razorback fans greeted Tigers quarterback Drew Lock outside Columbia restaurant Chris McD’s later that night.
“They were a little intoxicated and said a few things,” Lock recalled Monday. “It got chirpy. One of them was like, ‘Have fun at your guys’ bowl game this year.’ Obviously we weren’t going to a bowl game, but we had won. That was their only comeback that day.”
The win ended Barry Odom’s debut season as head coach with a 4-8 record, MU’s worst season since 2000.
