COLUMBIA, MO. • Barry Odom loves to talk about opportunity. He never misses an ... opportunity. He was asked five questions during Wednesday’s SEC conference call and used the word no fewer than six times.
That’s what his team faces in 10 days when it resumes its season at South Carolina. The Gamecocks aren’t nationally ranked, and they could very well be 2-2 when they host Missouri (3-1, 0-1 SEC) on Oct. 6. But they’ll all but certainly be favored against the Tigers, presenting Odom’s team a chance to do something it’s never done in his 29 games as head coach.
