COLUMBIA, Mo. — Tyler Badie later insisted he never had wandering eyes, but some cryptic social media posts left Missouri fans in suspense last December.
Shortly after the 2019 season ended, the sophomore running back tweeted, “Thank you, Mizzou” — a message some interpreted as a farewell.
Days later, Badie logged into Instagram and announced he wasn’t going anywhere.
“There was nothing to it,” Shaun Badie, Tyler’s father, said Saturday in a phone interview from his home in Memphis, Tenn. “I think a lot of people just read too much into it. That was him showing off his highlights for the season and kind of given the fans and the world out there a notice as to what he could do.
