Just two Missouri players landed on the media’s preseason All-SEC team, which is one more than last year’s team.
Wide receiver J’Mon Moore, the league’s only returning 1,000-yard receiver, earned second-team honors, while defensive end Marcell Frazier, whose 7.5 sacks are second-most among returning players, made the third team.
Alabama dominated the preseason team with 16 selections, including an SEC-record 10 first-team choices. Florida and Auburn each had nine players selected.
Eight other Missouri players were on the ballot given to voters who attended SEC Media Days this week in Hoover, Ala.: quarterback Drew Lock, running back Damarea Crockett, tight end Kendall Blanton, offensive tackles Paul Adams and Tyler Howell, defensive lineman Terry Beckner Jr.
