COLUMBIA, MO. • Former Missouri football strength and conditioning coach Pat Ivey will stay at the university and serve as assistant vice chancellor under Chuck Henson, the school’s Vice Chancellor for Inclusion, Diversity and Equity. Ivey’s appointment was effective Feb. 15, university spokesman Christian Basi confirmed.
“His job is to improve attendance, retention and graduation rates at all grade levels (pre-K through college) for students from all backgrounds,” Basi wrote in an email. “In the coming months, Ivey will produce an inventory of programs that Mizzou offers to students of all backgrounds and ages – such as outreach science or career exploration programs aimed at elementary and high school students – to motivate them to attend college and, once here, work hard to advance and graduate.
