Missouri freshman forward Michael Porter Jr. will play for the Tigers in Thursday's SEC tournament game, coach Cuonzo Martin confirmed after the Tigers practiced Wednesday at Scottrade Center.
Porter will not start, and the number of minutes he will play has not yet been determined, Martin said.
But the preseason SEC co-player of the year who had been limited to all but two minutes in the season opener due to back surgery has informed Martin he wants to play and help the team.
"He's good, Martin said. "That's doctors. Trainers. Unless Mike says otherwise. He's playing.
