Missouri's Hannah Stevens advanced to the finals of the women's 100-meter backstroke Monday at the US Olympic trials in Omaha, Neb. Stevens, a sophomore from Lexington, Ohio, qualified for Tuesday night’s finals with the fourth-fastest time in the semifinals (1:00.07).
The top two finishers in Tuesday’s final clinch a spot on the Olympic team for the Summer Games in Rio. Tuesday’s 100 backstroke finals is the third event of the evening session that begins at 6:45 p.m.
