COLUMBIA, MO. • Back in front of a home crowd for the first time in three weeks, the Missouri Tigers reminded their fans Tuesday they could be in for a long season of sometimes unwatchable basketball. Those moments came in spurts against visiting Temple — late in the first half, midway through the second half — and put the Tigers in a hole too deep to escape in a 79-77 loss.
In the first of a two-game swing against teams from the American Athletic Conference, Mizzou suffered their second straight loss, a game that sometimes looked a lot like last Monday’s 15-point loss to Kansas State in the Paradise Jam championship game.
