COLUMBIA, Mo. — Three days after scoring their most points in a conference game in eight years, Missouri got lost in an offensive fog Tuesday against Mississippi.
The Tigers managed to erase a 13-point deficit at Mizzou Arena and take a brief lead late in the second half but came up empty in the deciding possessions, going scoreless for nearly three minutes in a 60-53 defeat. That matches Mizzou’s fewest points of the season.
Ole Miss (13-9, 8-7 Southeastern Conference) arrived here on the NCAA Tournament bubble but took a major step toward making the bracket with a strong finish and its 15th victory over Mizzou in 18 all-time matchups.
