COLUMBIA, MO. • The threat of ugly weather has forced college football teams across the Midwest to cancel their spring games, but at Mizzou, the show must go on. Sort of.
Barry Odom, preparing for his third season in charge of the Tigers, isn’t promising anything extraordinary for Saturday’s Black and Gold Game at Memorial Stadium. While bulldozers work on the site of the new south end zone complex, the 2018 Tigers will take shape during their spring scrimmage at noon. Odom hopes it’s barely newsworthy.
“I hope it looks like watching paint dry,” Odom said after Thursday’s practice.
