Mizzou defensive end Nate Howard has been suspended indefinitely by Tigers coach Barry Odom after campus police on Wednesday night arrested the junior on multiple drug charges.
Howard, arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and suspicion of marijuana possession (10 grams or less), was booked at the Boone County Jail after police said they found illegal mushrooms and marijuana in the vehicle he was driving. Howard also was charged with lack of proper vehicle registration. He was alone in the vehicle, police said.
UMPD spokesman Maj. Brian Weimer told the Post-Dispatch that Howard was stopped on Providence Road in Columbia shortly after 7 p.
