Suspended Missouri junior defensive end Nate Howard was arrested Monday on a bench warrant.
Howard already was suspended indefinitely by Tigers coach Barry Odom two months ago when he was arrested for alleged felony possession of a controlled substance.
Monday’s arrest was unrelated to that case.
Howard was cited by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on March 28 in Montgomery County, Mo., for speeding 6 to 10 mph over the posted limited.
He was due in court Aug. 10 to contest the speeding ticket, which could have been avoided by sending a money order or paying the $121 fine by credit card over the phone.
