COLUMBIA, MO. • Brad Loos has experience trying to convince listeners that his way is the best way. That’s half the job of a basketball coach. But the former Mizzou assistant had a different kind of audience this week in Washington, where he met with legislators on behalf of the American Cancer Society as part of Childhood Action Cancer Day.
Loos was in the nation’s capital to tell Rhyan’s story.
In the fall of 2015, his daughter Rhyan was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma and has since undergone multiple operations and treatments. Rhyan’s health had improved last fall until Thanksgiving, when doctors found a tumor on her brain.
