COLUMBIA, Mo. • Missouri players have talked about Drew Lock passing for 4,000 yards this season, but the junior quarterback doesn’t worry about statistics. Except for one number.
Lock completed just 54.6 percent of his passes last year.
“Which was horse poop now that I think about it,” he said Thursday.
Eight regular starters in the Southeastern Conference posted better completion percentages last year. Among Mizzou quarterbacks who have attempted at least 100 passes over the last decade, only three completed a worse percentage, including Lock in 2015, when he completed 49 percent as a true freshman.
