COLUMBIA, MO. • With his team in position to win its second conference championship in four years, Missouri’s Wayne Kreklow was named Southeastern Conference coach of the year Wednesday.
Under Kreklow, also the SEC coach of the year in 2013 when Mizzou won the league title, the No. 22 Tigers improved to 15-2 in SEC play with Wednesday’s sweep at Georgia. The Tigers (24-5 overall) can clinch no worse than a tie for the SEC championship with a win over Tennessee in Saturday’s regular-season finale in Columbia.
Three Mizzou players earned All-SEC honors: junior Melanie Crow, senior Carly Kan and sophomore Alyssa Munlyn.
