COLUMBIA, Mo. — Whether his basketball career takes him to San Antonio or Sacramento, maybe Denver or Los Angeles, Kobe Brown made one thing clear this week: The former Mizzou star never gave thought to ending his college career anywhere other than Columbia. In fact, returning to Mizzou for a fifth year of college eligibility was barely an afterthought once he received early feedback from the NBA.
Widely projected as a second-round prospect for Thursday’s draft, Brown has worked out for 12 NBA teams in recent weeks, including the newly crowned champion Denver Nuggets on Tuesday, just a few days removed from their championship parade.
