Mizzou's Jontay Porter enters NBA draft

COLUMBIA, MO. • After undergoing a second major knee surgery, Missouri’s Jontay Porter has decided to again declare for the NBA draft. The 2017-18 co-SEC sixth man of the year made himself available for last summer’s draft and explored his stock at the NBA Draft Combine but decided to return to school for his sophomore season. Two weeks before the start of this past season, the 6-11 forward tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee, a season-ending injury.

Porter tore the ACL a second time in March and has since undergone surgery. He later admitted on social media that he returned to the basketball court before he was medically cleared to play.
