COLUMBIA, MO. • Looking for their third straight win the Missouri Tigers turned a wrestling match into a 3-point shooting contest Friday against Oral Roberts.
A barrage of fouls kept Mizzou from pulling away from its overmatched visitors in the first half, but once the whistles stopped chirping, the Tigers started launching. Six Tigers scored 11 points or more in an 80-64 victory in a game MU matched its season-high with 12 3-pointers, including seven in a tide-turning second half.
Mark Smith led the Tigers (6-3) with 14 points while Jeremiah Tilmon, Kevin Puryear, Jordan Geist and Torrence Watson scored 12.
