COLUMBIA, MO. • The Missouri basketball team takes a four-game losing streak into the start of Southeastern Conference play this week as the program continues to struggle in Kim Anderson’s third season.
While speculation surrounds Anderson’s job security, he talked Monday like his sole purpose is preparing the Tigers for Wednesday’s visit from Louisiana State. Mizzou (5-7) hosts LSU (8-4, 0-1 SEC) at 8 p.m. at Mizzou Arena.
Anderson said he has regular discussions with athletics director Jim Sterk and executive associate AD Brian White, who oversees the basketball program.
“We haven’t had any specific conversations about any particular goals I have to meet or the team has to meet,” Anderson said on the SEC teleconference.
