COLUMBIA, Mo. • The Missouri wrestling team won its 31st consecutive dual match on Saturday by taking down defending national champion Ohio State 26-17 at the Hearnes Center.
Tied with the No. 3 Buckeyes with two matches left, No. 8 Missouri took the lead for good with Willie Miklus’ 15-0 technical fall victory over Kenny Courts. With his team ahead 22-17, MU’s J’den Cox held off Mark Martin 11-2 in the 197-pound match to clinch the victory.
In front of 2,507 fans, the fifth-largest home crowd in the program’s history, the Tigers also scored wins by Zach Synon, Matt Manley, Lavion Mayes and Blaise Butler.
