The Missouri women’s basketball team entered Sunday in control of its own fate: Beat Texas A&M on the road and secure a double-bye in the Southeastern Conference tournament.
But the Aggies delivered a 82-63 drubbing to Mizzou in College Station, Texas, so MU will play on Thursday in Nashville, Tenn., as the No. 6 seed in the tournament. The Tigers will face the winner of No. 11 Florida vs. No. 14 Mississippi, which will take place the day before.
MU could not recover from a second quarter in which the Aggies outscored them 22-7. Mizzou began that period missing its first six field-goal attempts.
