The Tigers had lost two of their first three games of the season to mid-major opponents in Vermont and Norfolk State, the first time they’d done that since they lost four of five to mid-majors in Nov. 2019.
The Tigers cleaned up their act, winning eight of their next nine games. They seemingly had a solid shot to make it nine of 10 against Lipscomb. Although the Bisons kept up in the first half, trailing by just one at the break, Mizzou pulled away over the final two frames to emerge victorious 78-57.
