COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri women's basketball coach Robin Pingeton will depart the program as expected upon the conclusion of the ongoing season, ending a 15-year tenure.
Her contract with Mizzou was due to expire in April and had not been renewed. Pingeton confirmed Wednesday that she would not be returning to the program.
"After a lot of reflection, I have decided it's time for a new voice to lead Mizzou women's basketball," Pingeton said in a statement. "This is a decision I arrived at after initiating conversations with (athletics director) Laird Veatch, and I am incredibly grateful for his leadership and support throughout this process.
