This past June, Mizzou women’s forward Cierra Porter announced she was retiring from basketball following multiple knee injuries. Today, Mizzou women’s basketball announced Porter was returning to the court.
Last season Porter averaged nearly 10 points a 8 rebounds per content, giving the Tigers an athletic interior combo forward capable of stepping out and making shots on the perimeter. They’ve missed her versatility offensively despite great efforts from Amber Smith and Sophie Cunningham.
Welcome back Cierra, the Mizzou women return to the court tomorrow for the first time since their Braggin’ Rights win at Illinois, and their first home game since December 17th.
